We took a trip to Myrtle Beach with the Kent Sprunger family. This past year has been a tough year for the family as Marie has been dealing with (and suffering from) various health issues. She has been through some grueling testing, treatments, etc. The doctors recently diagnosed her with ALS.
In lieu of all these hard circumstances the family was able to take a much overdue trip together. It was a bummer Sarah and Kyle couldn't make it, but everyone else was able to come! We stayed in a perfect house on the beach. It was awesome. It was a bit cold. However, as you will see from the pictures, the cold temperatures did not stop the kids from enjoying the pool and beach one bit! They were (in my opinion) crazy! I still don't know how they did it!
This was the first day we arrived - freezing and windy - but the kids couldn't wait to get their suits on. They were in the pool (which at the beginning of the week was not heated, but who cares!?), in the ocean...it was crazy. They actually spent quite a bit of time in the hot tub. :)
Grace coming in from the ocean.
Marie, Dad, John watching the kids at the pool - look at what they are wearing. :)
The crew
Scott & Denise along with the rest of Uncle Jack's family - Steven and Blair and Suzanne and Megan - joined us to celebrate Easter.

Seriously how cute is this!
Feeding birds, surfing...
The adults all bundled in our winter clothes as the kids tromped around in their swimsuits
Surfer girls
Uncle Daren reading Jackson a book on one of his favorite subjects - construction!

You can see it near the water - John drew "Abigail" in the sand.
Tired and ready for bed
Jackson watching his own bedtime video
We had a karaoke night - so much fun. Kent and Marie have always enjoyed dancing together. So instead of choosing a song to sing, Kent chose a song to dance - with Marie.
Lucy and Abigail argued over who got to sleep closer to Grace, so Grace kindly obliged and slept in the middle - at least for a portion of the night. :)
Flying kites (or at least attempting to do so)
A man with purpose :)
Trying to stay warm while doing "Dad duty"
One big happy family - so hard to get a pic where everyone looks good so I chose two. :)
Got to have a crazy/silly pose
John, Joe, Marie and Jason
The kids were SOOOO over picture taking by this time. :)
Great memories had by all. Thanking God for His provision and blessing.
