Mothers Day

I had such a great Mothers Day weekend. My husband does it so well! Friday evening we had my family over for dinner which was so much fun. Then, Saturday, he took the kids while I took a nice long run. Then, he took them outside so I could do whatever I wanted in the house. So I did some fun stuff in the kitchen. Sunday was much of the same...John watched the kids and "made" me just relax and do what I wanted. It was marvelous! Abigail told me Sunday morning that she was going to "do all kinds of chores so I could just take a nap!" :) And nap I did! :)

We enjoyed the awesome weather by spending the evening outside.

Rainy Moonday

Last Monday it was just one of those really dark, rainy, dreary Mondays. I really think my kids felt it too because when I took Jackson upstairs to change out of his pjs he kept reaching for his bed. Finally I playfully put him in and he just laid down and smiled. Of course, Abigail then wanted to join him. After awhile I gave them some books to look at, thinking they might get bored. Frankly, I was enjoying the time of being able to get some things done! :) They seriously laid in his bed and read books for over a half an hour. So great.

Spring Program

A week or so ago Abigail had her spring program at preschool. It was soooo cute! She did great!

Good to Go!

Abigail did so well having her tonsils removed. It was seriously like nothing had happened. I was amazed how well she recovered. The first few days the doctor suggested trying hard to keep her relaxed so not to overdo it. John and I tried to think of creative activities that might keep her occupied while resting. Good friends of ours have two daughters that are Abigail's age. Their girls just love the movie Mary Poppins so we thought Abigail might like it as well. John asked to borrow it and when he went to pick it up, they sent a homemade chair with him for Abigail to sit in. It was so cute.

To be honest, I think maybe I actually enjoyed the movie more than Abigail. That movie is so great! I forgot how much I loved it! :)
