YUM!

So this title and these pictures look like I just fed my kids incredibly unhealthy, yummy chocolate goodness. It's true the muffins really are yummy and incredibly chocolate. However, they are really quite healthy! The pictures can testify to the enjoyment they produced. :) You can get the recipe here: Triple Chocolate Chunk Muffins.  One suggestion I have is to not use paper liners - the only complaint I have is that the muffins REALLY stick to the paper. So either use foil liners or no liners at all (be sure to grease the pan a lot if not using liners).

Swimming

We have spent many hours swimming so far this summer. The kids and I just love it. Jackson is getting so much better with the puddle jumper. He is able to be much more independent which makes swimming much more fun (for both him and me!). Abigail really took off this year in swim lessons. She really made some good progress and has become much more comfortable going under water which has been a huge blessing.

Good Morning!

Hello London

Our dearest friends moved to London two weeks ago now. :( He is in the air force and took an exciting position there for the next 3-5 years. We were privileged to get to know them well here over the past couple of years while he was getting his PhD at Purdue. One night during the last week they were here, we got two sitters for all the kiddos and went out on a double date one last time.

Abigail and Leah winding down before bed.

All the kiddos...Abigail was such good friends with Leah and Rebekah. Rebekah (left) was her age, so they were fast friends. For a week or two after they moved Abigail was emotional, saying she missed Rebekah. :(  Poor thing - living in a transient city like West Lafayette - I'm sure she will have to deal with many friends coming and going.

Goodbye Snyders. Thank you for enriching our lives as you did. We hope to visit you in London - Lord willing! :)

Vogts

Lon and Sarah are in the States for the summer. They were able to be with us a bit over Fathers Day. While Lon and John and the other men went golfing, the kids and Sarah and Cara were able to hang out at our house. Here are the kids having some down time together.

Fathers Day

We celebrated Father's Day Friday night at Mom and Dad's in Francesville. The entire Gudeman family was in attendance. It was a gorgeous evening!

Tucker brought a little 4-wheeler power wheel. It was quite the hit among the boys ages 1-2 years. :)

Lincoln and Jackson on the teeter totter Grant and I used to have as little kids.

Grandma Gudeman's sister is in the States for a few weeks. She was able to be with us which was so nice. Tante Hermine (or Aunt Hermine) is her name. She lives in Germany (where Grandma was originally from). She only speaks German, so I'm sure with all of our kids running around she just thought we were all completely crazy. :)

Daddy's Helper

Jackson is so cute. He is completely intrigued by figuring out how things work and pretending to "fix" stuff. I caught him in action "helping" John with some cable/internet wires. :)

Love it. :)
